Rimini, 3rd September 2020 . Two thirds of the entire exhibition space dedicated to Italy, with the participation of all the Regions along with ENIT - TTG 2020´s institutional partner - and the Ministry for Cultural Assets and Activities and Tourism. The spotlight´s on Italy at TTG 2020, the expo by IEG - Italian Exhibition Group being held at Rimini Expo Centre from 14th to 16th October. On 14th and 15th, there will be the 70th National Assembly of Federalberghi which has chosen IEG and TTG to give an insight on the hospitality system and its economic importance. The participation has been confirmed of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) which will bring its authoritative considerations on the sector to the expo. The new area ´Sports on Holiday´ by the Emilia Romagna Region will debut: a link between tourist destinations with a sports vocation and the professional federations - from soccer to basketball and athletics.
Along with the endless catalogues of culture, food & wine and beauty that the Regions will present in Rimini, ´active´ and ´sporting´ will be the two characteristic notes of the tourism that rediscovers the Italian peninsula. The second edition of the ´Be Active´ project will put the accent on vacations focussed on physical activity, wellness and adventure in natural scenarios able to reconcile body and mind. The counterpoint of the spaces dedicated to business (Buyers Lounge, Meet & Match) and the digital story of TTG 2020 (Social Media Lounge) will take visitors from Italy to the Global Village sections dedicated to Tour Operators and the market´s major players who provide products and services dedicated to retailers. TTG Next will host the start-ups who consider tourism from an innovative digital point of view.
Then there is the new section ´Regeneration! by SIA´, dedicated to hospitality design, in the large Italia hall, in close contact with the showcase of products for the hotel trade. After crossing the Main Hall, visitors reach the areas reserved for the Camping and Beach & Outdoor Style sectors which feature SUN 2020.
Eight arenas will highlight the first effective tourism balance bearing in mind the events of the recent difficult months. A profile of 2021 will be outlined by the data - presented for the first time - of the Observatory of Digital Innovation in Tourism of Milan Polytechnic´s School of Management and by the presentation of the Vision TTG 2021 by IEG, realized exclusively for TTG and based on a socio-semiotic analysis of signs from the consumer world.
´The ´Think Human´ vision inspires the 2020 layout of the expo´, explains Gloria Armiri, Group Brand Manager of IEG´s Tourism & Hospitality Division, ´which has rethought spaces and contents, aiming at the creation of environments that can respond to the widespread need to reconcile man with nature, favourable to our Clients´ thoughts and relations. This approach will also be facilitated by the extension of the hours to 6:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Special facilities have been organized for travel agents´ stay, tangible signs with which IEG expresses its closeness to professionals who are very important for the Italian tourism system. And for buyers in countries from which it is difficult to reach Italy, digital matching is guaranteed with the exhibitors.´
Like all the IEG expos and events, TTG will be held in compliance with government regulations on health safety matters, regulated by the AEFI Protocol, the #Safebusiness project by IEG and the procedure for GBAC STAR accreditation with international standards for the containment of risks in the operations for venue and room sanification.
