New tourism consumption habits have emerged and spread as a result of the pandemic crisis. After Covid-19, tourism demand expresses new needs (safety, experience, authenticity) and greater attention to the environment, nature, culture and local traditions: thus, a new concept of travel emerges.
The research is oriented toward immersive experiences, allowing to deepen the knowledge of places through their authentic reality, interacting with local people, sharing habits, moments, learning about history, culture and traditions. Environment, nature, human relations, healthy food, landscapes, biodiversity, cultural contaminations guide more responsible choices and more sustainable proposals.
Agricultural and sustainable tourism in the territories, of the Parks, reserves, walks, cycle and bridleways, takes shape around the Campagna Amica and Terranostra network, the more than 7,500 farms, the 1,200 farmers' markets, the 3,000 agritourisms and the Terranostra farmers' cooks. Visions and tourism proposals that stand as a valid and now necessary alternative to the phenomena of tourism hyper-concentration, in space (overtourism) and time (seasonality).
