An emerging destination on a national scale and a model of sustainable tourism for the development of internal areas, Castelsaraceno is preparing to face a new phase in its life cycle by establishing the first DMO participation Foundation in Basilicata. With the inauguration of the Ponte tra i due Parchi, the longest Tibetan bridge in the world, impetus was given to the birth of a participatory tourism ecosystem with the involvement of the local community, especially the younger ones, in a resilience action aimed at counteract the depopulation of the territory, obtaining unexpected results, with the creation of jobs and the birth of multiple economic activities from private investments. From the experience of the first three years of activity, the awareness was born of entrusting the construction of the tourism ecosystem to a new governance model, in which the public seeks private support for the achievement of 10 ambitious objectives.
