The 61st edition of TTG Travel Experience, the B2B event for the promotion of global tourism in Italy and around the world, again confirmed its position as the key event for the entire tourism and hospitality community.

Attendance figures (+9% in total and +15% for foreign visitors versus 2023) encapsulate in numbers the buzz expressed by the entire industry and exhibitors, international buyers, institutions and media over the three-day event. 

Let’s look back at what made the 2024 edition of TTG Travel Experience unique:

Again in 2024, TTG Travel Experience was the key event for developing new business and meeting new customers in the tourism sector with:

  • over 18,000 confirmed business meetings
     
  • 2,700 exhibiting brands
     
  • 1,000 foreign buyers from 62 countries
    (55% from Europe and 45% from the rest of the world), led by North America (18%), the UK (15%) and Germany (10%). 

TTG Travel Experience 2024 was much more than a business event: it was the meeting point of cultures, people and ideas from international tourism.

TTG Travel Experience is becoming increasingly international:

  • +15% attendance from foreign visitors versus 2023
     
  • 66 exhibiting foreign destinations from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas
     
  • the largest delegation ever of African exhibitors in the African Village exhibition area 

TTG Travel Experience was a unique opportunity to meet the key players of innovation in tourism and hospitality.

The TTG NEXT Start Up area created a Tourism Innovation District with:

•    55 start-ups ready to revolutionise the industry in the fields of Technology, Mobility, Hospitality, Experience and Tour Operating.

•    A programme of 20 conferences and panel discussions. These also included the Startup Pitching Session, which honoured the best emerging start-ups in tourism.

 

Product innovations in 2024 included:
NAUTICAL TOURISM 

Besides looking to the future with people and technologies that are already revolutionising the industry, TTG Travel Experience 2024 also wanted to explore emerging and growing travel concepts, creating an exhibition area dedicated to nautical tourism for the first time in Italy

TTG Travel Experience 2024 was not just business. Hundreds of internationally recognised speakers and experts presented the entire industry with new visions and strategies in:

  • 9 themed arenas
  • 200 events
  • 250 speakers  

The events of this edition were linked through the year's main theme, Veritas, inspired by the current situation on the market that condensed the pressing issues faced by the industry into a concept.

Veritas stems from the industry's need to draw on truthful accounts of regions, reliable data on trends and scientifically verifiable market analyses at a time when stories are created artificially, fake news is rampant and reviews are often misleading. 

The return of the Opening Party offered operators a further opportunity to meet and network, accompanied by music and live performances inspired by the main theme, Veritas.
