Fabio Rotella
Architect
He was born in Catanzaro to a family of Italian creatives, growing up in an environment rich in cultural stimuli that allowed him to pursue a path on the creative expressions of applied arts. After graduating in Rome in 1998, he moved to Milan, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Industrial and Management Design at Domus Academy. In 1988 he met the “Maestro” Alessandro Mendini, a figure of reference and extreme importance for him. From 1990 to 1995 at Atelier Mendini, he worked as coordinator of architecture, design and cultural events projects, as well as gaining experience as Art Director with brands such as Swatch, Alessi, Bisazza, etc. In 1996 in Milan he founded Studio Rotella, a real creative factory dedicated to architecture, interior design, industrial design and image consulting for companies. Over the years he realizes architectural and conceptual projects all over the world, from the redevelopment of urban areas, ecological parks, master plans, industrial reconversions, to the design of shopping centers, concept shops, hotels, restaurants and private villas.
In 2021, he is one of the first architects to enter the world of Blockchain by creating an unprecedented collection of NFTs, collaborates with The Nemesis in designing one of the largest towers in the Metaverse: City Tower. Attentive to the environment and fully aware of the contemporary and ever-changing society in which we live, he elaborates his projects while maintaining an ethical, artistic, and deeply poetic approach.
