Maria Giuseppina Ruggiero
Director for DRMN-LOM of the four sites in Valle Camonica
A prehistoric and protohistoric archaeologist, Maria Giuseppina Ruggiero has worked as an official at the Ministry of Culture since 2012. Since 2018, she has been the director of the four cultural sites in Valle Camonica managed by the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Lombardy: the Naquane National Park of Rock Engravings, the Cemmo National Archaeological Park, the MUPRE in Capo di Ponte, and the National Archaeological Museum of Cividate Camuno. She has curated exhibitions, participated in numerous conferences and developed projects with particular attention to accessibility in the museum context. As a founding member of SCA-Società Cooperativa Archeologica s.r.l., she has participated in numerous excavations and research projects in northern Italy.
