The Infinite Chair is a thematized account of the chair as an icon and invention that in its recent history has contributed to the themes that vertebrate contemporary design. A fundamental object in the construction of the imagery associated with Italian design, the chair has been a driving object for the transformation of the environment - reflecting social and cultural changes - and for the advancement of research into materials and industrial processes.
The exhibition presentation will allow visitors to learn about the stories behind the chairs on display and delve into its value as a determining element in the way we experience a certain environment, both in terms of its formal and symbolic characteristics and its role in the evolution of design.
